An improvisatory, essentially indefensible, randomly configured tragi-comedy
(no great revelations are likely to be accrued from its consumption)
20 August 2006
Spotshanks
Another wader falls; three Spotted Redshanks at Goldcliff this afternoon, unfortunately not accompanied by Wood Sand, Curlew Sand, Little Stint or any Yankee vagrants.

Carry on the good work Daryl. You've done well so far with some quality Gwent birds. I'll be following your exploits from now on. Birding in Gwent at the best of times can be a soul destroying grind detroying all optimism, hope and enjoyment of life(or is that just me?). Regular staring at the Gwent side of the Bristol Channel is even worse. Enjoy the next couple of months when there is at least the hope of a reasonable bird or two. Yours John O'Sullivan
