Leave Gwent, see birds

Juv/1st-winter Little Crake, Bosherton Lily Ponds, Pembs.

A day out to see some decent birds in Pembs.  The Little Crake performed admirably at Bosherton Lily Ponds with support provided by a showy Otter plus a few Water Rail, Kingfisher, etc.

A good few hours at Dowrog Common produced seven species of raptor plus Barn Owl including the adult male Pallid Harrier which, due to a couple of unfriendly corvids, flew over rapidly NW at some altitude.  Despite a few of us hanging about until well after sunset, it didn't return.
