White-tailed Eagle at Goldcliff

As Cat. E birds go, White-tailed Eagle isn't too shoddy, maybe not as good as a nice escaped duck but beats Crane, Great Bustard or White Stork any day.

This 2nd cal-yr(?) spent a fair amount of time perched on various vantage points but also flopped around and repeatedly flushed pretty much everything off all three lagoons and nearby pill.  At one point it made several attempts at taking something (unseen) from the surface of the south-easternmost lagoon.  Last seen flying low east and was lost to view behind Goldcliff Point.  I daresay this is going to become a regular occurrence.  Let's hope they develop a taste for feral waterbirds, Canada or Greylag Goose perhaps,... or Knepp White Storks.
